The Artist Outpost in Ocean Beach, San Diego designs classes for artists and potters of all experiences to explore and evolve. We are student-led, which means we’re always asking and considering what our youth students and adult art students and adult pottery students want to learn next.
We encourage our teachers and students to follow their curiosity and interest to discover new mediums. Mediums could include oil, acrylic, pastel, colored pencils, charcoal, encaustic mixed media, stained glass, resin pouring, acrylic pour, and, of course, pottery. In our classes, students work on entertaining projects while teachers simplify complex techniques and provide one on one support and encouragement. All our teachers are working artists, personally invested in the creative process and expression–the perfect teachers to support early stage artists.
